The staff of Fremantle College are looking forward to our first day on Monday 4 February and welcoming all of our students back for the 2019 school year.
We will be starting the day with a whole college assembly on the front lawn at 8:35am. Students will then move off to year group assemblies where they will be given their timetables and other important information to start the year. Classes will commence in period two.
I would like to congratulate all of our Year 12 students for 2018 and wish them well on their journey after Fremantle College. I would like to recognise the achievements of Kiana Ralph, who received a Certificate of Distinction for her ATAR achievements, and the following students who received a Certificate of Merit: Steven Foster, Jade Thompson, Freya Mitson-Clarke and Riley Fisher. Kiana and Steven achieved over 95 in their ATAR and many of our students performed well in all courses overall. This is an amazing effort and we are very proud of their achievements.
Please be reminded that our Year 10 students are now part of our senior school and as such all Year 10 students are required to wear the white shirt college uniform. This helps visually signify that they are now senior school students and will enjoy the responsibility and benefits of this rite of passage.
Please note that the uniform shop is located at the Uniform Concepts Super Store, 30 Kembla Way, Willetton. Please contact Uniform Concepts on 9270 4669 or willetton@uc.nellgray.com.au for enquiries. One of the best ways you can help your child have a great start to their year at the college is by ensuring that they have a complete college uniform, organised their personal items list, have a healthy lunch and morning tea packed and ensure that the contributions and charges for all of their courses have been paid. We look forward to your support in making sure that all students are well prepared for the year. All students are able to access our café before school, and during recess and lunch.
Our swimming program commences for all students in H&PE classes this term. Students are required to bring their bathers, towel and sunscreen ready for H&PE. A note will be sent home on Monday reminding students of the equipment required.
Students in Year 7 and 8 have access to the Bring Your Own Device Program and will be working through Education Perfect to support their MESH courses. We strongly encourage the use of ICT to enhance your child’s education.
I am looking forward to seeing all of our students back for our second year and look forward to sharing the challenges and triumphs of our students and community across the year.
Yours sincerely
Myles Draper
Principal
