Specialist ICT Program

Fremantle College’s Approved Specialist Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Program offers students a specially designed curriculum for the 21st century learner. Drawing upon the principles of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) learning our students solve real-world issues through exploration and investigation.

Fostering creativity and innovation, the Specialist ICT Program encourages students to view today’s world, and design for tomorrow’s.

Available to students from Year 7 through to Year 10, they will be at the forefront of technology education, with the ability to move from learner to developer. In Year 11 and Year 12 pathways are available for both ATAR and General study, encouraging students to look beyond school, toward future opportunities.

Our program helps to prepare students for a variety of career pathways within technology, including Software Engineering, Web Development, Network Administration, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Drafting & Graphic Design.

Our Curriculum

The Specialist ICT Program employs project based learning to support students to develop and expand their critical thinking and creativity, and engage them as innovators.

As students progress through the program they will be introduced to a wide range of subjects, providing them with a diverse and comprehensive technology education.

Students complete two sessions of Specialist ICT per week from Year 7 through to Year 10.

How to apply

If your child is passionate about extending their ICT skills with like-minded peers, we invite them to apply for our Specialist ICT Program. Applicants will be required to participate in an interview and provide previous school reports.
