Our Year 9 Gifted and Talented students competed in the finals of the WA Schools Think Tank Challenge on Friday. The Minister for Water the Hon David Kelly, Former Chief Scientist Lyn Beazley and CEO of the Water Corporation Pat Donovan were the judging panel. Our team were crowned the challenge winners for their campaign to develop a sink tap and outdoor hose that has flow settings for different purposes. For example, brushing your teeth or washing your hands would have separate settings that reduce flow.
The Fremantle College team did such an amazing presentation that the CEO wants to discuss putting their product into production.
This is a fantastic achievement to have won this event amongst a high calibre of both private and public school entrants.
