Dinosaur turning into Bird Project

The year 8.4 Science class recently travelled back 125 million years, to the early Cretaceous, where the first birds are just starting to take flight! Students’ were given the challenge to research the transition of dinosaur’s into non-avian feathered dinosaurs and modern birds. Once the research was completed the students chose their favourite specimen to recreate as a model.  Over a three week period of bending wire, forming clay, wrapping, painting and carving the class created models that were both realistic and eye catching!
